Infinitus Day of Defeat Source with changes

Posted by TicKle Apr 19th, 13:47 5 - Post comment

Over the past week or so infinitus.DoD have undergone some surgery to their line-up problem. The main change being Richard ‘RicKaaa’ Kay taking over the reins at the helm of the clan, plus the addition of two new troopers, namely Timo 'shame" Albers and Sergey 'Solo' Naumenko taking up rifle and sniper respectively. Infinitus.DoD have been improving immensely and consistently over recent times, seeing them book themselves a place in the up-and-coming EMS season, a great achievement in anyone’s eyes considering the skill level required. The mood in the infinitus camp is good and after talking to various members, they are looking forward to competing officially against the higher skilled teams, and very much look forward to causing upsets and shock results, and slapping an infintus stamp upon the rankings table. After speaking with their new captain RicKaaa about things, this is what he had to say;

Richard "RicKaaa" Kay's statement:
Recently our team had started to struggle with lack of motivation for the game due to a number of reasons and despite achieving our goal of qualifying for the upcoming EMS our desire to continue playing hadn’t increased. Include into that Crassus becoming inactive due to school work piling up we knew we had to make some changes to keep the team together. We started looking for players to improve our line-up and after playing some games with solo and shame and seeing how they fit in with the rest of the team it was an easy decision to ask them to join us.

Our aim now is to do as well as we possibly can in the upcoming EMS and ESL seasons and cause some upsets and surprises with results. I have no doubt our team is heavily underrated and no-one will be expecting us to challenge with the top teams. The other change to our line-up see's Inc take a step back to follow his WoW interest. I would personally like to wish him all the best as if it was not for him this team would not have got this far.
infinitus.DoD now features:

Richard 'RicKaaa' Kay
James 'semaj' Perfect
Aaron 'aKaaa' Swain
Alex 'bQQMzR^^! Howard
Timo 'shame' Albers
Sergey 'Solo' Naumenko

Mert 'crassus' Aydin

i39: Infinitus COD4: Lose out to Dignitas

Posted by Bobert Apr 4th, 17:33 8 - Post comment

Following the what only can be described as average group iQpad.COD4 were given, they came to face dF|, TAGUP and R!ve in the playoffs, winning the first two games easily. R!ve being more of a challenge, we came back from 12-7 down, to draw 12-12 therfore moving to a MR3 overtime. Following winning the first half of overtime 3-0 R!ve managed to bring it back to 3-3 sending it to a second overtime, where unfortunatley they managed to beat us 4-1, Sending iQpad.COD4 down to the lower bracket to face who?, where persistance prevailed and we gained an easy victory over them winning 13-4.

The next game however would be much more of a challenge vs Stimulus Gaming, Stim with a strong lineup for this lan including 2 members standing in from Reason Gaming. Again the teamwork payed off for iQPAD:COD4 and a victory over Stim was gained, with the final score being 13-10.

Meanwhile R!ve had been playing Dignitas losing out to them 13-6, so we were now to face R!ve again in the consolodation final. A win against them would see iQpad.COD4 sent through to the Grand final. With a really strong start iQpad.COD4 went 9-3 up at half time. Following the start of the second half they seemed to loose momentum and let R!ve pull it back to 9-6 until StuwOw pulled off a fantastic 2v1 and knocked the team back into gear accomplishing a convincing 13-7 victory. Sending iQpad.COD4 into the Grand Final vs Dignitas.

The final saw a strong start from Dignitas but iQpad:COD4 were only narrowly losing the rounds. At half time the score saw Dignitas 7-5 up on defence. The second half began with iQpad:COD4 on defence but again Dignitas proved too strong with the final score finishing 13-7.

I would personally like to thank QPAD for providing us with shirts and some other goodies for the event, and congratulate Dignitas on the win.

Well done iQpad.COD4 I'm sure you will beat them next time!!

The team receiving the cheque.
