With the announcement last month of the Qnatek Summer Battle 2012 hosted in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. The organisers of the event, Project Qnatek have asked for a refresher to you, the community. Starting with the basics. The Kiev Cybersport Arena will be the battlefield for all attendees from the 7th-8th July 2012.
Teams who are considering the possibility of attending will need to act fast as sign-ups close in just 13 days time (25th June 2012). The entrance fee as stated in the previous post means that each team (plus a manager if needed) will only €200 (or £35 / €40 individual price) which is massively cheaper then the standard €350 for the standard Turn Up and Play (TUP) competition.
For those who need refreshing of the computer specs. They are equipped with Razer DeathAdder mouses, Razer Goliathus mouse mat and Razer Carcharias headphones. The graphics cards Radeon HD 5670 with 4GB Kingston DDR3 RAM, topped with an Intel Core i5 processor and ASUS VH226 monitors.
The prize-purse, no matter on the amount of attending teams has been set to a minimum of €3,000 although with every paying squad atleast half of their entrance fee will be added to the already decent prizepot. At the moment we currently see only seven spaces filled of the 32 up for grabs with Western Wolves and Team DOBRO being the most recognised of this list and with time running out people will need to get themselves into gear before the sign-ups do finally close.
A small update regarding coverage of the event, our very own Bob Bcrbo Van de Voorde will be on site keeping us upto date on the matches, whilst bringing us the usual interviews, tweets, photographs (that Bob does best) through out the entire weekend.
Apply to the tournament bu sending an email to hunterex@qnatek.org with the title "Apply to Qnatek Summer Battle 2012", the contents must include the team name and country, every players real name including nicknames aswell and most importantly the contact details of each member of the team.
