After a lengthy fifth season the explosive conclusion is soon to be upon us, seeing the current top 32 teams being thrusted head first into the highly anticipated Finale Cup. Starting on Sunday 2nd June the competition will feature a €750 prize pool alongside additional premium accounts for the CyberGamer website.
Nobody quite knew how season five would play out with the introduction of a new tournament format and extended time frame, but few so far can claim it hasn't been a relative success. Hundreds of teams have flocked to the CyberGamer ladder from across the globe to attain their dose of daily Call of Duty action, and after several months of competition the very best within the scene have emerged to establish their names in Call of Duty history, to claim the CyberGamer title.
The tournament itself will feature a double elimination bracket, seeing teams fight it out over a three week period. Tournament seedings will be taken directly from the ladder rankings, making the need for a solid ladder position not just a necessity for qualification, but vital for an easier path to a podium finish. The majority of the matches will be played out on Sundays, with the remaining lower bracket matches being played out over two Thursdays.

The event organisers behind DISTRICT.Prague have recently announced the second edition of the New Hope Call of Duty 4 LAN Series, this time featuring a fixed €10,000 prize pool. The LAN event is due to commence on Saturday 10th August and span over two days.
Just days ago the management team behind the newly established esports orientated LAN centre DISTRICT.Prague unveiled their plans to host a sequel to the recently concluded New Hope event. The competition will see a staggering fixed €10,000 prize pool, the biggest the Call of Duty scene has seen since 2010, setting it up in good standing to become the biggest competition of 2013.
The competition itself will be conducted at the DISTRICT.Prague, based deep within the heart of the stunning Czech Republic capital. The venue itself features 50 high end gaming machines, a snack bar and on-site accommodation making it an ideal fit for both competitor and spectator alike. International attendees can fly to the Vaclav Havel Airport, and then utilize the local bus and metro services to arrive at the venue.
Perhaps the most exciting element of this fantastic opportunity is the vast array of talent attending the venue to bring you some of the best coverage the game has seen in years. The streaming and production team will see names such as Stuart "Tosspot" Saw, Lauren "Pansy" Scott and Alex "Machine" Richardson, not forgetting the fantastic Streamgasm production team. Admining the event is an old face, Graham "Messioso" Pitt, a man who has come out of retirement for this fantastic event.
You can find the key information below:
Location: DISTRICT.Prague e-Sports Club, Prague, Czech Republic
Dates: 10th - 11th August 2013
Entry Fee: €350 per team

With two fully paid teams finalized just days after the announcement this event looks like it is going to become a roaring success. TEK-9 wouldn't miss an event as draw dropping as this, and will see at least one content writer at the event throughout the weekend.
