However despite the good specifications recent drama has ensued after the community was made aware that the screens that will be used at the event, EIZO FORIS F2333's, operate at 60Hz. These are the very same screens as seen at the EIZO Open, Dreamhack.
Despite the technical hiccups the event is set to be a beacon for the Call of Duty community, seeing many of the usual excuses being eliminated by the initial tournament unveiling. You can find additional information on the event by clicking here.

The grand final of the epic.TEN Call of Duty 4 tournament is underway and imGaming have an up hill struggle ahead of them. The first map is the overly familiar dusty setting of Backlot, the big question looms ahead. Who will win, the established side of imGaming, or the old guard mix team of Phantasmagoria…
The game kicked off with the familiar scream of tactical grenades, resonating across the bloodied battlefield, few failing to secure any contact upon the pixelated bodies that are currently rushing to secure their designated positions. Much to the crowds glee imGaming secure the first round, rather comfortably in fact, cheers and renditions followed, which set the tone for this anticipated event.
The first half innocently trickled by, teasing each team as they crawled forward, seeing an even score line haunt both sides until the sides switched. The rounds were slow, passive and predicted, comparable to a game of chess where your opponents predict your move before you even take it. The last round emerges and imGaming were eliminated. Six all.
Sides switched and the second half ensues. It starts with moans, groans and sighs of dismay as imGaming realise that they have walked into a trap, their bodies fragmented across the simulated killing zone. Rounds slowly trickle from between imGamings fingertips no matter what tactic they attempt to implement. Enough is enough, a timeout is called.
Timeout over and the score currently stands at ten to six in Phantasmagorias favour. Two imGaming players fall, but the tactics come through, the round disadvantage closes by one. Phantasmagoria reply to their defeat with an aggressive push, taking down all that stood in their path, until eventually the rushers, who are better described as juggernauts, fell, leaving Chris in a one versus one, he loses, albeit in a rather unlucky fashion.
Next round goes to imGaming, the pressure is on.
Twelve eight the score line and it all falls to onto the shoulders of Fraz in a one versus two, bomb goes down. He moves out, gets pinned and is eliminated.
Phantasmagoria are now the winners on epic.TEN.
